Hazelwood (Corylus cornuta) was used medicinally by Native Americans as an emetic, for teething, to expel worms, to heal cuts, and as an astringent (D. E. Moerman 1986).
The native Americans were the first to discover that if they were to put Hazelwood Chips on their babies’ neck it would soothe teething pains. Almost forgotten Tearless Teething reintroduced this old remedial way to holistic healing in the form of their necklaces and other products to help not only the babies but to take advantage of the natural benefits of the Hazelwood, not only for the infants but the whole family.

Life span of a Hazelwood necklace
The life span of your necklace will depend on individual symptoms of your body. In general, customers have said a necklace will maintain its benefits for 2-3 months sometimes longer. The more severe the symptoms may mean a shorter lifespan of the necklace. Two indicators that your necklace is losing effectiveness: the ends of the wood beads will darken and/or symptoms return.
