What Is Teething?
What we call “teething” is the process during which a child’s first 20 teeth (often called “baby teeth” or “milk teeth”) grow through the gums’ mucosal tissue. Usually, the first teeth appear at around the age of 6 months, then gradually grow (often in pairs) until the child’s third birthday .
Many parents trust Pure Hazelwood necklaces to ease their toddlers’ symptoms as early as the appearance of the first teeth. Click here to read their stories.
Although teething is not a disease, it is often a difficult time for toddlers. Many symptoms can be observed:
- Excessive saliva
- Swollen and sensitive gums
- Nappy Rash
- Runny nose
- Light fever
- Loss of appetite
- Sleep problems
Experts do not agree on which of these symptoms are really linked to teething and which are anecdotal.
« OMG!!! I have to say thank you thank you thank you!!! I can’t say it enough! I purchased a necklace for myself and my grandson (8 1/2 months)… He has been teething horribly so… Wouldn’t eat much, wouldn’t drink his bottle, couldn’t sleep comfortably, wanted to be held, wanted to be put down, wanted neither, fever, cranky… You get the picture (…) He has been wearing his new [necklace] for the past 6 hours. He is not grouchy, he drank a full bottle before his supper, ate all his supper (even said mmmm during) and after supper he had another bottle! He hasn’t had any (other medication), he (…) even went to sleep in his own bed without being cuddled/rocked to sleep!!!! I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!»
